For nearly a century, the American Legion Auxiliary has been serving, helping, and meeting the needs of our nation’s veterans, military, and their families both here and abroad.
The members of Auxiliary Unit 20 are committed to the founding principles of The American Legion Auxiliary: Justice, Freedom, Democracy and Loyalty. We are the wives, mothers, daughters, grand-daughters and great grand-daughters of veterans who served our Country during times of war.
The following is just a sample of what our unit does or has done to help our veterans and our community:
- We distribute Legion Poppies and accept donations to raise money to support veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families with medical and financial needs.
- We support the Susan G. Komen Foundation
- We support the Special Olympics
- We "adopt" families at Christmas that are in need and provide for them

Why would someone want to join the Auxiliary?
If you value patriotism, responsible citizenship, volunteerism and advocacy for veterans, the military and their families, you will feel right at home in the American Legion Auxiliary. As a member of a our Auxiliary unit, you’ll have a ready-made support system and many hands-on opportunities to serve in ways that truly make a difference.
